With broadening application of information technologies cyber crimes pose a real threat for society. Violations of information security and data leakage, frauds in electronic payments systems, theft and destruction of sensitive information and documents cost companies and state organizations billions dollars annually. Investigation of these crimes is very difficult task for law-enforcement bodies and corporate security services all over the world.
Development of Ukraine is defined by rapid integration to global international computer systems. At the same time there are some objective and subjective factors that lower the efficiency of fight against cyber crimes. The most important among them are inadequate awareness of existing procedures and technologies of computer forensics, lack of experienced specialists, deficiencies of law and so on.
10th International Scientific and Applied Conference “Information Technologies and Security. Computer Forensics” takes place in Sevastopol, Ukraine on June 25-29. Conference is organized by National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, State Administration of Communications of Ukraine, State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine, Institute for Information Recording of NAS of Ukraine, EPOS Ltd.
The main purpose of the event is to discuss existing problems related to cyber crime, cyber law and international criminal cooperation and elaborate the prospective ways of their solution. The Conference gives academics, experts and consultants an opportunity to exchange the experience and present the best practices and advanced technologies in the field of computer forensics and information security.
