Data vault 'Kolchuga' is designed to destroy data on HDD in order to prevent information leakage in cases when there is a threat of confiscation of a drive or a computer.
'Kolchuga' provides continuous protection of information on a hard drive. If necessary, for example, if there is a threat of malicious physical access to the server / storage device, the device guarantees the emergency destruction of all data on the protected HDD with no chance of further recovery.
Currently, sollutions are available that enable a simultaneous protection of up to 4 HDDs.
The following 3 ways are implemented in the system to initiate the destruction of data:
Manually, by means of a key inserted into the front panel lock, or a remote button;
By radio communication, by means of a radio-transmitting key fob with a range of up to 100m;
Through a GSM channel, with options for voice commands and SMS. The access to controls is granted only to the list of phone numbers of accountable users that was set preliminary.
It is possible to integrate Kolchuga to an existing intrusion protection circuit of a company. That would initiate the destruction of information depending on the signals from motion sensors, door/window sensors, etc.
If there is a threat for disconnection of electricity power, the data vault can be equipped with an UPS (uninterruptible power supply). At the request of the customer, the data vault is equipped with a cooling system and a temperature sensor for the hard disk, thus avoiding its overheating.
In the case of triggering or power failure, the data vault sends an event report to authorized users via SMS or voice call, mentioning the time, way of triggering, etc.
